Three KSC-affiliated faculty, Drs. Dae Young Kim (SOAN), Byunghwan Son (GLOA), and Young Jung (MCL) have led a research team, working on the social reactions to K-pop since 2018. In collaboration with UVA's Dr. Yoon Hwa Choi, the team secured funding from 4VA and implemented a large-scale interview project focusing on K-pop fans in the United States.
