KSC Visiting Scholars are encouraged to use GMU's library system and other university research facilities, and to meet and work with the faculty. The Visiting Scholar Program provides an excellent opportunity to join in the academic life of the university community as well as to experience life in the diverse communities of Northern Virginia and Washington, D.C.

Korean Studies Center Visiting Scholars are those who have been granted leave and financial support to pursue research in the U.S. Such scholars may visit George Mason University for a period of six months to one year, with the possibilitiy of an extension, for the purpose of research and interaction with students and scholars on campus. KSC has no office space to offer, but can provide for access to GMU research and recreational facilities.
